Richard Gallagher is recognised as one of New Zealand's most versatile sight-seeing and tour guides.After some 14 years as a director of a transport tour company, which he jointly established in 1992. Richard has now turned his interests towards freelance guiding services, specialising in individual and small group tour guiding, driver guiding and tourism co-ordinating roles.

Richard's wide tourism experience includes just about every type and kind of tour combination guiding and driver guiding, from local sight seeing , day tours to extended New Zealand tours of every type and interest.The versatile and specialised side to his services has been recognised and used by visiting media,TV and film crews as well as visiting VIP's, diplomats and trade delegations to name a few.

Tourism New Zealand engages Richard as one of their preferred South Island Guides and Co-ordinators.

His services are interesting and attractive because he has the flexibility and personality to relate well with anyone at any level. Plus he also understands traveller's needs and expectations whether they be individuals,family,friends,celebrities or discerning tourists from any part of the world.

Being a fifth generation Kiwi, from a hill country farming background he really knows and enjoys sharing his in-depth knowledge, understanding and enthusiasm of his home environment with visitors especially those special places and scenic spots.He is passionate about his own back yard, in particular the scenic South Island.
